The Future

We feel very positive about alpacas in the UK. In terms of fibre increasingly many designer and high end fashion chains are using alpaca in their collections and top designers such as Chloe, Missoni, Fendi, Pringle and Karl Lagerfeld have used alpaca for years.

 

Just as cashmere has recently gained massively in popularity this is largely because of new availability as the global Cashmere goat herd has grown and cashmere goods become available on the high street.

 

Similarly as the global quality and quantity of alpacas grows so products become more available and especially when mixed with other fibres more affordable.
